EMERGENCY CLOSURES
This is just a reminder for parents of our Emergency Closure Procedures.
There may be occasions when unavoidable closures may occur, which usually means for health and safety reasons, these closures are normally because of extreme weather conditions. Parents and carers have the responsibility of getting their children to and from nursery safely, and need to decide if the journey is safe when severe weather affects transport or walking conditions. Parents/carers should inform nursery if their child is absent due to severe conditions making the journey unsafe.
In the event that the conditions are sufficiently severe that the nursery needs to close, we need to remind you that information is given out on the Chartham Primary School ‘message line’, you can access this by ringing 0844 4819232; local radio stations on BBC Radio Kent and Heart FM and KMFM Radio. Listen to announcements about school/nursery closures; our announcement is usually made along with Chartham Primary School.
Hopefully we will not have any days when we are unable to open.
